At the Fukuoka National Route Office of the Kyushu Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, our environmentally friendly high furnace slag weed control method "Grassless Sand" has been adopted as a weed control measure for the tree planting area in the "National Route 3 Nishizukuguma District Street Tree Reorganization" project. Before the maintenance, the area was overgrown with weeds, and the sidewalks were narrow, making it difficult for pedestrians. In Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture, our permeable and water-retaining paving material 'Color Sand' has been adopted at Kosobecho Park. The "Imagawa Promenade," constructed in March 2016, was previously a drainage channel where domestic wastewater flowed in, causing odors and insects to emerge in the summer, which troubled the local residents. In response to calls from nearby residents for renovations that consider hygiene and safety, the river was enclosed and buried underground, while our product, which excels in permeability and water retention, was used for the surface. The permeable and water-retaining paving material "Color Sand" is playing an active role in the "Tohoku Reconstruction." In the Tamaupa West area of Iwanuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, the land development work for the reconstruction group relocation site has been completed, and the construction of new homes is progressing. Approximately 4,000 m² of this product has been used for pathways in parks and sidewalks around retention basins. The paving of this product provides a comfortable and safe walking experience for the elderly and those with disabilities, excelling in barrier-free design. In ITO City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the permeable and water-retaining paving material "Color Sand" has been adopted for the stairs at "Komuroyama Park." "Komuroyama Park" is a natural park centered around Mount Komuro, which stands at an elevation of 321 meters and is located within the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. From the panoramic observation deck at the summit, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view of the Izu Seven Islands floating in Sagami Bay and the Amagi Mountain Range. Our permeable and water-retentive paving material "Color Sand" has been adopted in many famous cherry blossom spots. At the "Chidorigafuchi Greenway" in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, our product's high permeability and water retention provide moisture to approximately 260 cherry trees planted along the 700-meter-long promenade. "Glassless Sand" is a weed control method that involves spreading a pavement material made by mixing blast furnace water-quenched slag as aggregate with cement and admixtures within a formwork, and then compacting it to a specified thickness.
