◆Advanced Media, Metropolitan Expressway Technical Corporation, and Nagaoka National College of Technology Jointly Develop Advanced Media Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Advanced Media), Metropolitan Expressway Technical Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Metropolitan Expressway Technical), and Nagaoka National College of Technology (hereinafter referred to as Nagaoka College) announced on January 11 that they have jointly developed a "Report System for Inspection Results Using Voice Input." The three parties have jointly filed a patent for the related technologies of the system. This system was developed by combining Advanced Media's AI voice recognition AmiVoice with the voice input-compatible inspection system that Nagaoka College had been developing. By utilizing ICT devices instead of paper, the system prevents recording omissions that can occur with handwritten notes and reduces the time required for data entry after work. Additionally, repeated system modifications were made through trial implementations in the field. ◆Improvement in Report Quality Metropolitan Expressway Technical has fully implemented the system since April 2022, using it for biannual routine inspections across all routes of the Metropolitan Expressway. This has enabled greater efficiency and sophistication in operations, leading to improved report quality, and it is expected to reduce work time by approximately 20% in the future.

(hereinafter referred to as IRM) announced on December 26, 2022, that it will transfer the design, sales, parts sales, and after-sales service operations of its lubrication equipment to its manufacturing contractor, Koganei Co., Ltd. Since Koganei has been responsible for the manufacturing of IRM's lubrication equipment for approximately 60 years, this transfer will establish a consistent system from manufacturing to after-sales service for the lubrication equipment. ◆Starting at 1,500 yen per user per month On December 22, 2022, Sales Engine Co., Ltd. announced that it would offer the "IT Inspection Sheet Den Paperization," which digitizes paper inspection sheets using smartphones, as a subscription service with a monthly fee. Contracts start from 10 users, with a cost of 1,500 yen per user per month (excluding tax, initial setup fees apply separately). ◆Creating an inspection sheet system based on familiar paper inspection sheets The "IT Inspection Sheet Den Paperization" creates an inspection sheet system based on paper inspection sheets that have been traditionally used, such as those made in Excel. It also allows for customization of the input order to match on-site work. Features such as a duplication function to transfer inspection data from the previous month and a calculation function to display total values eliminate the hassle of inspection tasks and improve efficiency through IT. Past inspection sheets are stored in the cloud, enabling easy search of inspection history. Inspection sheets can be converted to PDF on smartphones and sent out via email in bulk. The paid demo version of the original inspection sheet creation system provides a system similar to the official implementation, allowing for on-site testing and internal discussions before full deployment.

◆It is now possible to set setup times by size Kabuku Inc. announced on December 22 that it has expanded the setup time and tolerance setting functions of "Cost PRO" to allow work content and time to be reflected in estimates. "Cost PRO" is a cloud-based service for estimating processing costs. In this update, the company added a setup time setting function for each size to "Cost PRO." For heavy products that cannot be manually attached and detached, it is now possible to set the weight and working time for heavy items, assuming the use of cranes or forklifts. ◆Time related to tolerances can also be adjusted by size Additionally, users can now adjust the setup time and inspection time for dimensional tolerances and geometric tolerances. Furthermore, it has become possible to reflect the actual man-hours in the estimates to calculate costs. In addition, the material costs for angular items calculated by Cost PRO have been revised to more closely align with market conditions as of December 21. However, it is important to note that if drawings estimated before December 20 are recalculated, they will be calculated using the new material costs.
