Methods for Reducing Running Costs of Air Conditioning Equipment LCEM

Efforts to reduce the running costs of air conditioning can be considered an important issue!

Air conditioning accounts for a significant portion of a building's energy consumption. For example, in office buildings, air conditioning represents about 28% of energy consumption (according to the Energy Conservation Center, Japan). In other words, when considering energy costs related to building operation and management, such as measures against global warming and reductions in utility expenses, energy-saving measures for air conditioning can be effective. This article introduces key points for reducing the running costs of air conditioning. [Contents] ■ The challenges of energy-saving air conditioning are solved by LCEM ■ Considerations by stage ■ Examples of systems that reduce air conditioning running costs ■ Benefits for energy-saving companies *For detailed content of the article, please refer to the related links. *For more information, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Cooling water control for turbo refrigeration units.

Introduction to the concept of the lower limit of cooling water temperature and refrigeration units!

The cooling water supply temperature directly affects the efficiency of the refrigeration unit. For example, during winter or intermediate periods, operating at a lower cooling water temperature improves the efficiency of the turbo refrigeration unit and reduces power consumption. However, the operation of the refrigeration unit also requires the operation of pumps and cooling towers, and for optimal energy savings, it is necessary to focus not only on the refrigeration unit but also on the efficiency of the entire system. This article explains the cooling water control of turbo refrigeration units, so please take a moment to read it. [Contents] - Considerations for the lower limit of cooling water temperature - Cooling towers - Cooling water pumps - Refrigeration units - Considerations for the cooling water system - Optimization control of cooling water *For detailed content of the article, please refer to the related links. *For more information, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Air Conditioning Basics: Primary Energy Conversion

The COP of absorption chillers is calculated from primary energy! Comparing the efficiency of chillers under the same conditions.

When comparing the COP of absorption chillers and turbo chillers, the COP of turbo chillers listed in catalogs is around 6, which is high, but this value is calculated based on the power consumption of secondary energy. On the other hand, the COP of absorption chillers is calculated from primary energy, and to compare the efficiency of chillers under the same conditions, a primary energy conversion is performed. This article provides a detailed explanation of primary energy conversion. [Contents] ■ Primary energy and secondary energy ■ Power generation loss and transmission loss ■ Primary energy conversion values *For detailed content of the article, please refer to the related links. *For more information, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Air Conditioning Basics: What is Surging?

Introducing the compression methods of turbo refrigerators and the causes of surging!

Surging is a phenomenon in which the discharge gas pressure of a centrifugal compressor is overcome by the pressure on the discharge side, resulting in the inability to discharge gas or the occurrence of gas backflow. When surging occurs in a centrifugal compressor, vibrations become intense, and operation becomes unstable. This indicates that the pressure head of the compressor is insufficient. This article provides a detailed explanation of the causes of surging in turbo refrigerators and the surging limits, so please take a moment to read it. [Contents] ■ Compression method of turbo refrigerators ■ Causes of surging in turbo refrigerators ■ Surging limits of turbo refrigerators *For more detailed information, you can view it through the related links. *For further details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

What is the new refrigerant that is attracting attention?

For companies, the trends in refrigerants need to be recognized as important news!

Freon was developed by humanity for use in devices aimed at cooling objects. It is an artificial substance that evaporates easily and has the property of dissolving oils, which has led to its application in various products and industrial uses. However, Freon also has weaknesses, and the Montreal Protocol, which came into effect in 1989, regulates two types of specific Freons: CFCs and designated Freons: HCFCs. Specific Freons are to be completely phased out by 1996, and designated Freons will soon be abolished as well. This article outlines the new refrigerants and explains the benefits of their introduction. [Contents] ■ The relationship between new refrigerants and Freon ■ From alternative Freons to new refrigerants ■ The trend of new refrigerants cannot be overlooked in the future *For detailed content of the article, please refer to the related links. *For more information, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Due to the use of low-pressure refrigerants, it is not subject to the High-Pressure Gas Safety Act, eliminating the need for qualified personnel and various notification management tasks. Additionally, as it is non-combustible, there is no need to comply with the regulations and guidelines required for 2L (mildly flammable) refrigerants. 【Features】 ■ Non-Freon and ultra-low GWP ■ Low-pressure refrigerant ■ World’s highest efficiency COP 6.5 (50 Hz example) ■ Non-combustible ■ Low rotation, low noise, low vibration
