Double torsion spring SUS631-WPC Φ1.2

"SUS631-WPC" is a spring material with high strength and excellent heat resistance.

The material used is "spring stainless steel wire SUS631-WPC." "SUS631-WPC" is a higher strength material compared to the general-purpose spring material "SUS304-WPB" and is often used in applications requiring heat resistance. The heat resistance temperature (permissible use temperature) is approximately 340 degrees for "SUS631-WPC" and about 290 degrees for "SUS304-WPB." "SUS631-WPC" is a precipitation-hardened material that acquires the required strength and heat resistance through heat treatment after spring forming. This heat treatment is referred to as precipitation hardening or aging treatment, with a heat treatment temperature of 470 degrees ± 10 degrees and a heat treatment time of 60 minutes as specified by JIS standards. This spring is called a "double torsion spring," and it has a shape where two torsion coil springs are connected. The left and right coils operate independently, so calculations for moments and lifespan are generally performed separately for each side. (In cases where the dimensions and usage are exactly the same, calculations can be completed for just one side.)

We process using materials that have been pre-straightened, referred to as "straight materials."

Tension Spring SWP-BΦ5.0 Left-Handed

It is a rare case where a "left-handed" spring is used in a tension spring.

The material used is "Piano Wire Type B, SWP-B," with a wire diameter of Φ5.0. The body part is wound using a heart gold type winding machine, while the hook part is shaped by hand. After heat treatment, an electroless nickel plating is applied as a rust prevention treatment. The winding direction of this spring is "left-handed." To determine the winding direction, if you stand the spring upright and look at it from the side, if the coil material is winding upwards to the right, it is right-handed; if it is winding upwards to the left, it is left-handed (according to JIS standards). For compression springs and tension springs, unless otherwise specified, they will be manufactured as right-handed.
