The viscosity of molten steel heated to 1600°C is lower than that of water, so very fast responsiveness is required to control its flow. Aircraft operate with 3 to 4 hydraulic systems in parallel to enhance the reliability of the piping laid out within the fuselage. A precision press that maximally demonstrates the features of the hybrid actuator "HySerpack" has been completed. Despite having a large thrust of 100 tons, the device is compact with dimensions of 900×830H. The height includes everything from the rod tip to the top plate (thickness 150t) and the tank flange.
