We would like to introduce a case study regarding a complaint from a product user about health issues caused by the product. This investigation focused on the odor components of the product using a Headspace Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (HS-GC-MS) system. A portion of the product was sealed in a container and heated to release odor components. The released odor components in the container were measured, and the detected components were analyzed. It was found that the detected odor components were substances that can cause allergies (limonene and menthol).
