Here is a case study on the manufacturing of filters for aquariums. "We are expanding aquarium filters in home centers and specialty stores, but we are being pressured to reduce costs. When we inquired about the raw material prices from other companies, we found that they were comparable to ours. Here is a case study on the manufacturing of filters for ventilation fans. "We are selling ventilation fan filters made from flame-retardant polyester, but there is a concern that they may melt and fall during combustion, potentially exacerbating frying pan fires. Is there a good preventive measure?" was the request we received. In response, we proposed the production of non-woven fabric blended with acrylic fibers that carbonize instead of melting during combustion, due to the melting characteristics of polyester. We are currently purchasing batting that has a sheet adhered to the surface of the cotton through a separate process, but we received a request asking, "Is there a way to reduce costs further?" The reason for adhering the sheet is that it allows for writing letters or drawing diagrams on the surface during cutting, providing convenience in the process. However, it was mentioned that it does not matter what the sheet is made of. We utilized the three card machines installed on the same line of our non-woven fabric line, designating one machine for feeding materials that can be turned into sheets, allowing us to create a production line for batting with sheets in a single process. Here is a case study on cushioning materials for prosthetic limbs. Currently, we are purchasing antibacterial and deodorizing non-woven fabric from other manufacturers, but we received a request to find a solution as it discolors after a few years. It was found that the discoloration was caused by the silver used as an antibacterial agent in the cushioning material. Therefore, we sourced an antibacterial agent other than silver and conducted prototype testing. Regarding production lots, we have small to medium-sized equipment, so while we cannot handle large volumes, we were able to produce satisfactory products by responding with smaller manufacturing lots than major companies. We would like to introduce a case where we received a request for "non-woven fabric + polyethylene laminated products for automotive dirt-resistant and cushioning covers, with stable quality and quick delivery." The requirements were uniformity of specifications, weather resistance, and moisture permeability/waterproofing. Since we can manufacture stable non-woven fabric, we arranged a polyethylene film with moisture permeability, waterproofing, and weather resistance to meet the other requirements, and performed point bonding with the non-woven fabric. As a result of the prototype, all quality standards were met. Therefore, we received a request to create it using non-woven fabric. The advantage of non-woven fabric compared to urethane is its breathability. However, there are durability issues with non-woven fabric, and they were struggling to find a suitable cushioning material. In response, our company manufactured non-woven fabric by mixing a highly durable material with polyester fibers. The underwear manufacturer was pleased to receive a product that met their requirements.
