LODIQ (Low Distortion Quenching) is our unique surface heat treatment method that fills the gap between "soft nitriding" and "carburizing hardening (carburizing nitriding)." It addresses issues such as "normal soft nitriding does not provide sufficient strength" and "normal carburizing (carburizing nitriding) results in excessive thermal distortion." We would like to introduce our heat treatment process of "gas carburizing and carburizing nitriding." "Gas carburizing" involves heating steel materials to approximately 900 to 940°C in an atmosphere of endothermic gas primarily composed of CO, N2, and H2, with the addition of enriching gases such as butane and propane, allowing carbon to penetrate the surface of the material. This is followed by quenching to harden the material. On the other hand, "carburizing nitriding" is a process where carbon and nitrogen are simultaneously penetrated into the surface of steel at a lower temperature of approximately 800 to 880°C compared to standard gas carburizing, followed by quenching to harden the material. 【Characteristics of Gas Carburizing】 ■ Applicable steel types: Low carbon alloy steels such as skin-hardening steels (SCM, SCr, SNCM, etc.) ■ Achieves a thick surface hardening layer while ensuring high toughness internally ■ Depth of hardening layer and surface hardness can be adjusted according to requirements ■ Several types of quenching oils can be selected based on internal hardness and component shape ■ The surface has a smooth finish with a light gray color (in the case of low-temperature tempering) ■ Improves wear resistance, impact strength, and fatigue strength *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

"Gas soft nitriding treatment" involves heating products placed in a furnace to 530-600°C in a mixed gas atmosphere of NH3, N2, and CO2. Nitriding is performed using the nitrogen component derived from the decomposition of NH3, while carburizing is conducted using the carbon component derived from the decomposition of CO2, resulting in the formation of a compound layer coating made of iron carbonitrides approximately 5-20μm thick on the product surface. The generated compound layer is dense and possesses high hardness along with moderate toughness, primarily contributing to improved wear resistance of the component surface. Additionally, by covering the surface with the compound layer, corrosion resistance is also enhanced. The "Iso-Nite treatment method" is an improved version of salt bath nitriding treatment introduced in Japan by Hamamatsu Heat Treatment Industry and its group company, Nippon Parkerizing Co., Ltd. The main features are that it can be applied to any type of steel, and due to the low-temperature treatment, there is extremely little dimensional change, allowing for processing in a short time (0.5 to 3 hours). By immersing in a salt bath agent at 580°C, a compound layer is formed on the surface, with a diffusion layer beneath it. By applying "Iso-Nite treatment" to steel materials, their lifespan is significantly improved. "Plasma nitriding treatment" is a method that utilizes glow discharge to ionize a small amount of mixed gas of N2 and H2 introduced into the furnace, and nitrides the treated items with the ionized N ions. A compound layer of iron nitrides is formed on the product surface, enhancing wear resistance, fatigue strength, and corrosion resistance. Furthermore, if sputtering is performed to collide H ions with the product surface before nitriding to clean nitriding inhibitors, nitriding can be achieved even for steel types that cannot undergo conventional ammonia gas nitriding due to strong passive films like stainless steel. The greatest advantage compared to other nitriding methods is the ability to partially cover the treated items with fixtures and block the glow discharge, allowing for localized prevention of nitriding. "Shot peening" is a cold working method in which hard small balls, called shot materials, with a particle size of approximately 40μm to 1.3mm are accelerated and sprayed onto the workpiece at high speed using a projection device, causing them to collide with the surface. "FPP (fine particle peening)" is a type of shot peening that uses very small shot materials with a particle size of less than 0.2mm, and is projected onto the workpiece at significantly higher speeds than conventional shot peening, distinguishing it from the standard shot peening that uses larger shot materials. In addition, "barrel polishing" utilizes the relative friction between the workpiece, media (abrasive stones, abrasives), and compounds (polishing aids) to address various finishing purposes such as deburring, scale removal, rounding edges, smooth finishing, and gloss finishing for machined parts, pressed parts, sintered parts, and heat-treated parts. We would like to introduce our "Research and Analysis" services. We possess analytical equipment for quality control/assurance in heat treatment, FPP, etc. Services are also available for a fee. Using X-ray diffraction analysis equipment, we conduct residual stress measurements and residual austenite percentage measurements.
