EPLAN Electric P8 is a 3D electrical design CAD solution specialized in streamlining electrical design for plants, machinery, equipment, and control panels. It standardizes electrical design, making design tasks, report creation, and management of design data easier. When creating circuit diagrams using general-purpose CAD, a lot of manual work occurs, such as preparing symbols, manually drawing connections between symbols, and copying and pasting parts lists into another software. The more manual work involved, the higher the probability of errors, which in turn increases the need for rework. EPLAN's comprehensive electrical design CAD aims to ease the design process by having software perform tasks that electrical designers used to do manually. Additionally, since design data such as component data and circuit diagrams are centrally managed in a database, it offers the advantage of smoothly handling design changes.

The concept of the project viewer eVIEW is to digitize the review process in engineering. Users can view and access documents via a browser and directly add correction comments in red pen to the documents. All change histories are saved, allowing for the visualization of the process. By sharing information using digitized project documents, it is possible to keep the documents up to date.
