When people hear "telework," many tend to associate it with web conferencing tools like "Zoom" or communication tools like "Slack." These tools are, of course, essential for working from home. However, interactions via Zoom and Slack are supplementary, and the main tasks involve creating documents in Word and Excel or inputting data into core systems. These tasks are originally meant to be performed from a desk PC at the office. Therefore, the primary challenge of telework is how to carry out these tasks from a home environment. What is needed to solve this primary challenge is "remote tools." By implementing remote tools, you can operate your desk PC at the office as if you were there. However, many small and medium-sized enterprises lack dedicated IT personnel and are forced to give up on establishing a remote work environment. ConnectWise Control (Access version) is a remote desktop telework solution. Currently, more than 60% of companies that have implemented telework allow employees to take company-managed PCs home and access business applications and databases on the internal network via VPN. On the other hand, in the remote desktop telework environment enabled by ConnectWise Control, there is no need to take the company PC home. Instead, employees can remotely access their desktop on the company PC from an external PC (such as a home PC) by connecting to a secure ConnectWise Control server, allowing them to control it using a mouse and keyboard. Since only the desktop image is transmitted to the external PC, there is no need to worry about data leaks, unlike VPN-based telework. Additionally, because employees are operating their familiar desktop PC, they can work more efficiently.
Control Support is a remote support solution. For those who are solving PC support and software customer support issues via phone or by dispatching technicians in an "analog" manner, this solution digitizes the process to improve efficiency. In situations where you cannot directly see the customer's screen, it can be difficult for both the person explaining and the person listening to understand, leading to longer resolution times. By using ConnectWise Control, you can "see" the customer's screen, allowing you to quickly grasp the issue. Additionally, with the customer's permission, it also includes a feature for direct remote control, enabling you to resolve issues on behalf of the customer. One of the main features of Control Support is that there are multiple methods to invite customers to the support session. In addition to directing customers to a connection-specific page where they can enter a code, there are options to connect by clicking a button or generating a direct link, allowing for flexible remote support tailored to the customer's needs and literacy.
