The "Pallet Stacker" is a three-dimensional automated warehouse that has improved operational accuracy and high-speed performance through its unique drive mechanism and control method. It is suitable for storing molds, work-in-progress items, and finished products in manufacturing environments. The high-rise rack section and stacker crane are designed with sufficient strength to accommodate pallet weights of up to 1,000 kg. The combination of the pallet storage system "CybiStar" and the unmanned forklift (AGF) automates high-density storage of pallet items. The movement of the CybiStar, as well as the inbound and outbound operations of pallet items, is also automated. It is ideal for nighttime operations and 24-hour operations where securing workers is difficult. ■ High Density and Large Storage Compared to flat storage and conventional pallet racks, it achieves approximately double the storage capacity in the same space, significantly improving storage efficiency. ■ Automation and Labor Reduction Since the AGF automatically changes the opening of the shuttle within the rack, it can greatly reduce manual labor. Depending on the workload and required capacity, fully automated inbound operations can be handled by the AGF, while outbound operations can use conventional forklifts, allowing for flexible operations. ■ Flexible Layout Because it combines racks with laser-guided forklifts, automation can be achieved with a free layout without obstructing aisle pathways with conveyors, etc. It can also be implemented in layouts that span multiple sections or in warehouses with complex shapes. ■ Easy Installation, Modification, and Expansion Installation is simple and does not require extensive facility construction, making it ideal for leased warehouses that require restoration to their original condition. The laser-guided forklift does not require path tape on the floor, allowing for easy changes to the travel route via a screen.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "CybiStar II" at the Gifu Kitakata Factory of Premium Water Chubu Co., Ltd. The company faced the challenge of wanting to increase production capacity and efficiency by introducing a new manufacturing method for PET bottles due to the establishment of a new factory. By creating a new buffer storage area utilizing CybiStar II, the cycle time of the high-capacity new PET bottle molding machine was secured, resulting in a 25% increase in production capacity per line. The "CybiStar" is a pallet storage system that utilizes a shuttle (transport cart) to travel along lanes within racks, enabling efficient storage and retrieval of a wide variety of palletized goods in large quantities. Since aisles between racks are not required, high-density storage is possible. This allows for space reduction while maintaining storage capacity or increasing storage volume within the current space.
