We are conducting prototype development of the "Multi Materials B-Pillar." Aluminum and carbon fiber each have distinct properties and play important roles in the design of the B-pillar. Aluminum provides lightweight and strength, and is widely used due to its ease of processing. On the other hand, CFRP has high specific strength and energy absorption capabilities, making it an excellent choice for improving crash safety. By appropriately combining these materials, it is possible to maximize the performance of the B-pillar. Additionally, we have frame stations for BIW assembly, as well as advanced joining technologies such as SPR, FDS, TOX, and many others. 【Features】 ■ Using 7000 series aluminum allows for a combination of lightweight and toughness ■ Carbon offers further lightweight properties along with high specific strength and energy absorption ■ We can propose several options for joining composite materials ■ Domestic transportation is available for next-day delivery except for remote islands *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

The STAF (Steel Tube Air Forming) system is the world's first forming system that electrically heats pipe material within a press mold and injects high-pressure air into the interior of the pipe to shape continuous irregular closed cross-section members with integrated flanges. By rapidly cooling the material with the mold simultaneously during forming, it is possible to shape closed cross-section members using Press Hardened Steel (PHS). The unique one-pack forming process and the structure of continuous irregular closed cross-sections with flanges enable simplification of the process, as well as lightweighting and strengthening of components. *Information provided by Sumitomo Heavy Industries.
