At Naturipe Farms, a proposal was sought for the development of an industrial prototype of an automatic harvester that can be used for harvesting blueberries that can be sold as fresh fruit. Our company created website content and materials for external requests. We combined external requests with appropriate target group exploration and sought proposals for the challenge. We then evaluated the initial and final proposals, ranked them, and presented the most relevant ones to the Naturipe Selection Committee. At the PSCR2020 conference, there was an explanation from NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) regarding the results of our technical survey conducted to explore UAS (drone) technology to support the activities of rescue teams and emergency responders. To make this project feasible, it was necessary to identify and track the position of underwater objects (such as fishing gear) that may move from the initial deployment location using a low-cost system, allowing users to detect their position. The system is required to be rope-free, meaning it cannot indicate position using buoys or floating ropes. A key outcome from this technology scouting project was related to acoustic devices.
