Sion Co., Ltd. (Location: Yahaba Town, Iwate Prefecture, Representative Director: Koichiro Ishikawa) is pleased to announce the launch of its indoor and outdoor shared "Quick-Drying & Low-Odor" Sion Oil-Based Wood Coating "U-OIL." The Sion Oil-Based Wood Coating "U-OIL" has been developed to meet the needs of the field with features such as "quick drying, ease of application, low odor, and low cost," making it an ideal product for construction in new builds and renovations, particularly in "projects with short construction periods." Our company has decided to leverage the know-how gained from manufacturing and selling natural wood coatings since 2003 to significantly change the conventional wisdom surrounding oil-based wood coatings in four major ways. The first point is that by applying our unique processing to the main ingredient, boiled linseed oil, we have achieved "quick drying" with a touch dry time of about one hour (the time it takes for the color of the paint to stop fading is approximately one hour) in oil-based coatings. Additionally, we have reduced the complete drying time to about 12 hours, which is about half of the previously stated 24 hours for oil-based coatings. By maximizing our nearly nine years of experience as a purely domestic natural coating manufacturer, we have successfully created an oil-based coating that meets the needs of the field.
