[Case Study] ETC System Communication Transmission Load

This is an example of reducing the network transmission load of the ETC system on toll roads!

The ETC system is composed of I/O devices, sensors, IP cameras, and Ethernet switches. When a vehicle enters a toll road, the ID scanner installed on the gantry detects the transponder mounted on the vehicle and sends the ID information to the data center via a switch. If a vehicle that does not support ETC enters the toll road, the sensors will begin toll collection by capturing the license plate of the relevant vehicle with the camera installed on the gantry and sending the image to the control center. In the ETC system, where thousands of vehicles pass under each gantry daily, there was a need to reduce the transmission load on the network between the gantry and the control center. [Case Study] Extension of Serial Signals in Manufacturing Line

A case of introducing long-distance transmission cables to extend serial signals over 100 meters.

In a manufacturing line of a precision equipment manufacturer, it was necessary to read barcodes before transporting products on a conveyor. However, with the expansion of the manufacturing line, a serial signal extension of over 100 meters for the barcode scanner was required. Additionally, there was a need for resistance to "what if" scenarios such as fire or smoke, and cables that could accommodate sudden specification changes were necessary. Therefore, the "CC27/CC37 series" was introduced. It can extend from the standard RS-232C length of 15m up to a maximum of 150m, is fire and smoke resistant, and complies with various standards such as UL, CSA certification, and RoHS.
