The Belgian company Stageco built three massive identical stages for the U2 360° tour. One of the construction requirements was that the stage could be assembled and disassembled relatively quickly. Therefore, the company's challenge was how to assemble and dismantle a massive structure weighing 230 tons each time. To address this, the company collaborated with Enerpac to develop a unique system based on the Synchronous Lift System. The Pacific Highway expansion project includes the construction of a new bridge over the Nambucca River. Once completed, the bridge will be 850 meters long, and each girder, weighing up to 158 tons and measuring 41 meters in length, must be positioned on precisely controlled bearings. To save time and simplify the placement of the girders, the teams from Universal Cranes and Smithbridge utilized a synchronized hoist system. The SyncHoist system, positioned under the lattice spreader, allowed for finite adjustments of the beams during placement onto the bearings. Before Rangemaster installed the new 1,200-ton ring frame hydraulic press, it was necessary to remove the existing hydraulic double-action press. Additionally, the existing printing machine on the second floor had to be dismantled, lifted, and lowered to be moved to the first floor through some limited spaces. To accomplish this, the SL400 hydraulic gantry was used to lift the crown and base of the existing press onto load skates. Two gantry units that were on the first floor were moved to the second floor, where they lifted the press and transported it to the new foundation. We would like to introduce a case study on the transportation of replacement parts for the reactor vessel head. To provide radiation shielding at the bottom of the head assembly of the reactor vessel, it was necessary to transport a steel plate with a diameter of 14 feet and a thickness of 3 feet through the narrow passage of the equipment hatch in the reactor building.
