This time, we would like to introduce a case where lightweight design was achieved by utilizing triangular ribs (reinforcement ribs). There was a request to make a cover lighter in order to protect areas other than the relevant section during a specific operation. In response, we proposed reinforcing the bend area with triangular ribs. This time, we would like to introduce a processing case of a product made of SUS304-H material, which has large R bends (R14.5) in two places. Due to a short delivery request, we only had one week for the production period. Since we did not have a mold for R14.5 and could not secure time for its production, we proposed processing using a sending bend. This time, we would like to introduce a processing example of a bus bar where the overall thickness is "t2.0," but the tip section is thinner at "t1.5." By replacing the crushing process with cutting, there is no need for a mold for the crushing process. As a result, it is possible to reduce the total cost for around 100 pieces. Additionally, a secondary effect of choosing cutting is the reduction in delivery time. This time, we will introduce a case of precision sheet metal processing that includes a small-diameter bar ring tap. There was a specification for an M2 bar ring on a 1.0mm thick A5052 plate. Due to its small diameter and slender shape, it is prone to breaking, so extreme caution is required during processing. In this case, the bar ring tap was located adjacent to a bend and was in a position where it could interfere with the shape. Since there was a risk of it being crushed if processed before bending, the bar ring tap processing was carried out after bending. Due to the thickness of 0.3mm, there are often opportunities to purchase the material in coil form when arranging materials. Since it is wound in a roll, the material itself has warping and distortion, making it impossible to process the blanks as is. This time, we are introducing a case of products with strict precision requirements in sheet metal parts. Our company routinely processes products with high precision tolerances. In this case, due to the large quantity and concerns about dimensional variations in the stepped bending (Z-bending) section, we created a simple mold to achieve stable processing. Additionally, there was a possibility of bulging on the outside of the bending section, which could lead to exceeding the product width tolerance. Since the material is SK85 (SK5 / carbon tool steel), choosing laser cutting raises concerns about hardening of the cross-section due to heat during processing, which may lead to the occurrence of fine cracks. Therefore, we performed blank cutting using wire electrical discharge machining, which has minimal thermal impact, thereby addressing this concern. This time, we are introducing a case where multiple V-bending techniques were combined to meet strict tolerance requirements. Due to the constraint of "no inner R on the bend," after V-bending with a sharp-edged mold, bottoming was performed with a dedicated mold. By adding this process, we minimized the inner R of the bend to the extreme and reduced variation in bending. This time, we are introducing a case of a long, narrow shape measuring 430x20mm, with a bead drawing applied over a length of 400mm. The bead drawing had a width of 2.7mm and a length of 400mm, but since the dimensional tolerances other than the drawing height and the requirements for the convex part's R shape were lenient, a dedicated stacked mold was manufactured and processed. Although there were concerns about warping due to the additional bead drawing on the elongated shape, we were able to meet the warping limit condition of 0.5 max by incorporating a process to remove strain. There was only one week for delivery, and the request came from a distant location where express delivery would not arrive the next day. It was a short-term project that required shipping by the fourth day. Our company can produce simple molds in-house, allowing us to start processing the mold on the same day as the order at the earliest. On the second day, we conducted heat treatment, on the third day we made fine adjustments to the mold, and on the fourth day, we performed bending processing and were able to ship after inspection.
