The K-Flex Type KUU is a product that has passed the US UL standards, while Type KSC has passed the Canadian CSA standards. KUU incorporates copper wire within spiral tubes sized #12 to #36, reducing the electrical resistance of the tube and providing a structure to ground any potential short-circuit current. Sizes #42 to #104 do not incorporate copper wire and have a structure where the spiral tube is bent into an interlock. Therefore, when using sizes #42 and above, please add a separate ground wire to the wiring according to Section 351 of the NEC (National Electrical Code). Additionally, nylon bushings are standardly incorporated at the connector terminal. K-Flex Type KUU is registered under the US UL standard UL360 "Liquid-Tight Flexible Steel Conduit." The structure of the tube features a core made of zinc-coated steel band, covered with UL-compliant vinyl that is flame-retardant and weather-resistant.
