Water jet cutting is a non-contact processing method where the tool does not touch the object, resulting in no heat generation and no alteration or discoloration of the material. To enhance cutting capability, our company mixes abrasive materials (garnet) into the water jet for spraying and cutting. By incorporating abrasives, we can cut hard materials such as composite titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and laminated materials. The discharge energy processes the workpiece in a manner similar to a wire saw. ○ Die-sinking Electrical Discharge Machining For example, if a star-shaped machining tool is prepared, it can directly create a star-shaped hole. In this case as well, discharge is generated between the workpiece and the machining tool (electrode), processing the workpiece. Since the shape of the machining tool (electrode) is directly transferred, it is possible to machine even somewhat complex shapes by creating an electrode in the desired shape.
