Suitable for precision medical devices, Teflon coating that maintains high purity.

It has many excellent properties such as heat resistance, non-stickiness, wear resistance, low friction, chemical resistance, and insulation!

Teflon (fluororesin) coating has many excellent properties, including heat resistance, non-stickiness, wear resistance, low friction, chemical resistance, and insulation. The surface of fluororesin coating repels both water and oil. Most substances do not adhere, and due to the water-repellent properties of fluororesin, it becomes significantly more resistant to dirt. Additionally, cleaning when dirty is easy, which not only greatly reduces cleaning time but also significantly decreases the amount of water, solvents, and detergents needed for cleaning. Furthermore, the low friction coefficient makes it slippery, preventing stick-slip. It can be used in high-load, low-speed applications and in areas where contamination is undesirable. Due to the low friction coefficient, there is almost no frictional resistance. (Note: Stick-slip refers to the phenomenon where contact surfaces alternate between sticking and sliding.) There are coatings for ultra-fine pipes with an inner diameter of φ0.5 for inspection equipment, catheters, and other flasks or test tubes that use chemicals, as well as coatings commonly used for high-temperature lighting around 200°C. By preventing splashes of liquids and fragments, it allows for safe use.

Ceramic coating suitable for precision medical devices, maintaining high purity!

Due to its excellent heat resistance, it maintains non-stick properties, low friction, and wear resistance even at high temperatures, and its 9H hardness coating enhances durability!

Ceramic coating (DK-coat Infinity) is a next-generation ceramic coating that uses only inorganic materials that are 'non-toxic and harmless,' without any organic materials. It has excellent heat resistance, maintaining non-stick properties, low friction, and wear resistance even at high temperatures, and its hard coating with a hardness of 9H significantly improves durability. 【Features】 ■ Heat Resistance Capable of withstanding high temperatures up to 450°C. Usable at temperatures above 300°C. ■ Wear Resistance With a pencil hardness of 9H, it is hard and resistant to scratching, which reduces the need for parts replacement due to wear, significantly lowering running costs. ■ Non-Stick Properties It has a high heat resistance comparable to fluoropolymer coatings (such as PTFE and PFA) and is resistant to wear and scratching, ensuring lasting non-stick properties. ■ Steam Resistance It is strong against steam, has good adhesion that makes it difficult for the coating to peel off, and since it is an inorganic coating, water vapor does not penetrate the coating, preventing peeling.

Fluororesin coating "recoating"

Re-coating is possible as many times as needed! We also introduce a peeling method that reduces the burden on the substrate.

Fluororesin coatings can be "re-coated" multiple times. When re-coating with fluororesin, it is necessary to first strip the current fluororesin coating. This is done using sandblasting, but it inevitably takes a long time. Therefore, for plates under 1mm or precision parts, it is essential to choose a coating that does not affect the substrate even after stripping the fluororesin coating. At Daito Kasei, we also propose treatments that do not put a burden on the substrate during re-coating. 【Stripping methods for each coating】 ■ Polyurethane coating - Soak in solvent to strip → Sandblast ■ Ceramic coating - Clean → Heat treatment → Sandblast ■ Polyethylene coating - Keep warm until the surface softens, then strip → Heat treatment → Sandblast *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

Regarding fluororesin lining, 'suitable substrate design'

Introducing the basic substrate design for applying lining (thick film)!

We will introduce the design of the base material suitable for fluororesin lining. This is the basic design of the base material when applying lining (thick film). Please also refer to it for coating (thin film). For the "corner sections," it is ideal to finish with a radius of at least 4R, and preferably 10R or more if possible. If the inner radius is small, increasing the film thickness will make it more susceptible to the thermal shrinkage of the fluororesin. At the "welded sections," it is necessary to weld all joints (both inside and outside). Additionally, if attaching pipes or similar, all joint areas on the coating surface must be welded as well. Unevenness in welding is not an issue as long as the weld is smooth. Please note that pinholes in the weld are not acceptable. If you consult with us before the design phase, we can provide suitable fluororesin lining. *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

Before Fluororesin Lining

Introducing photos of the fluororesin lining that has been permeated with the drug solution! A grade table is also included.

We would like to introduce a photo of the fluororesin lining that has been permeated by the chemical solution. Due to the permeation of the chemical solution, it has entered between the lining film and the substrate, passing through the fluororesin lining. It can be confirmed that the chemical solution is permeating from the corner area, and because the radius at the corner is small, the lining film in the corner is thin and significantly affected by factors such as shrinkage. The grade table introduces the water repellency, permeation resistance, and structure of the coating film for each type of fluororesin lining. *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

Properties of fluororesin (abrasion resistance, static electricity prevention)

Exhibits excellent wear resistance by combining a coating! Also prevents static electricity!

Here is an introduction to the characteristics of fluororesin. Fluorine-modified coatings combine the slip properties of fluororesin with improved film characteristics from organic binder resins, demonstrating excellent wear resistance against high-load friction. Additionally, by incorporating ceramic thermal spraying into the substrate, it is possible to coat even deep irregularities. It should be noted that standard fluororesin coatings have excellent insulation properties, making them prone to static electricity generation. There are antistatic coatings available to address such static electricity issues. 【Wear Resistance】 <DK-coat Types (Colors): Dynamic Friction Coefficient (1kg)/Material> ■ DK-430Z (Black): 0.06/PTFE ■ DK-013 (Light Brown): 0.08/PFA ■ DK-coat TFM (Silver): 0.04/PTFE-based ■ DKC-838: 0.04 (Black, Brown, Metallic) / Thermal Spray + Composite, etc. * The performance is based on the above colors. * For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

Properties of fluororesin (non-stick and corrosion resistance)

Excellent non-stick and corrosion resistance! Information on adhesive energy and damage to resin is included.

We would like to introduce the characteristics of fluoropolymer coatings. The surface of fluoropolymer coatings does not allow most substances to adhere and repels both water and oil. Due to the water-repellent properties of fluoropolymers, they do not get wet, making them significantly resistant to dirt. Cleaning when dirty is also easy, which not only greatly reduces cleaning time but also significantly decreases the amount of water, solvents, and detergents needed for cleaning. Additionally, a fluoropolymer coating (fluoropolymer lining) of 0.3mm or more can provide "corrosion resistance (chemical resistance, anti-corrosion properties)." 【Non-stick properties (release properties, water-repellent properties)】 <Material types: Contact angle of water (degrees) / Adhesion energy (dyn/cm)> ■PTFE: 114/43.1 ■ETFE: 77-88/75.2-97.7 ■Silicone: 90-110/47.8-72.7 ■Stainless steel mirror finish: 60/109.0, etc. *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

Fluororesin: What is the difference between fluororesin and Teflon?

Introducing the characteristics of fluororesin and whether there are differences between fluororesin and Teflon!

"Fluororesin (Teflon)" was discovered by the American company DuPont in the 1930s and introduced to the market under the trademark name "Teflon." It possesses excellent characteristics, including unique physical, chemical, and electrical properties, and its applications range widely from everyday household kitchen equipment to cutting-edge space devices. This unique property is due to its inert structure, which is based on a polymer of carbon-carbon bonds surrounded by large, stable fluorine atoms. It is particularly stable against heat because it is firmly bonded to the carbon-carbon bonds and does not dissociate through chemical processes. *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.*

Metal thermal spraying and ceramic thermal spraying

Coating other materials on the surface! Enabling diversification and advancement of material functions!

"Metal thermal spraying and ceramic thermal spraying" is a type of surface modification method. By utilizing the inherent properties of the material and coating its surface with other materials, it imparts functions that the material lacks. This is technically achieved by accelerating molten droplets or softened powders at high speed to collide with the material surface, resulting in rapid cooling and solidification to form a coating, enabling diversification and enhancement of material functions. By applying metal and ceramic thermal spraying as a base for fluororesin coatings, adhesion and wear resistance are significantly improved. There are also coatings that do not allow any adhesion of tape or adhesives. [Materials] ■ Metal-based - Al, Zn, Al-Zn alloy: for corrosion protection - Ni-Cr alloy, MCrAlX alloy: for corrosion resistance and high-temperature oxidation resistance - Self-fluxing alloy (Fe-Ni-Cr alloy + Si + B): for wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

DK-coat TFM (Fluorine Co-rolled Plating)

Coating is possible if it's metal! For products that require water repellency, low friction, and wear resistance.

The "DK-coat TFM (Fluorine Coated Plating)" can be applied to any metal material. It is suitable for products that require water repellency, low friction, and wear resistance. There are differences in hardness, precision, and adhesion when compared to fluorine resin (Teflon) coatings. 【Major Differences from Fluorine Resin (Teflon) Coatings】 ■ Hardness and Wear Resistance - It has the low friction of fluorine resin combined with the hardness of plating (500HV when hardened), making it extremely superior in wear resistance. ■ High Precision - It poses no issues even for precision molds and parts with strict dimensional accuracy. - For a film thickness of 10μ, it can be applied with a tolerance of ±1μ or less. ■ Adhesion - It will not peel off unless subjected to abnormal use. - There are no issues caused by peeling. *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

De-fluorinated and non-fluoride coating

To solve the PFAS problem, we compared ceramic coatings and fluoropolymer coatings.

The ceramic coating "DK-coat Infinity" is an inorganic ceramic coating that uses completely non-toxic and harmless inorganic materials without any organic substances. As a non-fluorine coating, it contains no PFAS, which has recently become a concern. This product can address the issues related to the impact of PFAS on human health and the environment. It has excellent heat resistance (up to 450°C), so even at high temperatures (like 450°C), it maintains non-stick properties, low friction, and excellent wear resistance, similar to fluoropolymer coatings, while significantly improving durability due to its hard coating. 【Major Differences from Fluoropolymer Coatings】 - Heat Resistance: Capable of withstanding high temperatures of 450°C - Wear Resistance: Hardness of pencil grade 8H to 9H, resistant to scratching - Non-Stick Properties: Comparable to fluoropolymer coatings (such as PTFE, PFA) - Steam Resistance: Strong against steam, with excellent adhesion that makes peeling difficult - Thermal Conductivity: Good thermal conductivity, further enhanced by far-infrared radiation - Safety: No harmful gas emissions even at elevated temperatures *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Fluororesin coating (Teflon coating) and types of fluororesins.

Introduction to fluoropolymer coatings and types of fluoropolymers.

"Fluororesin coating (Teflon coating)" can form a film on the surface of the substrate, enabling maintenance-free operation under harsh conditions, improving operational rates, enhancing purity, and imparting characteristics not found in metals. There are various types of fluororesin (Teflon) coatings, but our company offers coatings with excellent properties for a wide range of applications, including water repellency, oil repellency, non-stick properties, low friction, wear resistance, chemical resistance, and corrosion resistance, to meet our customers' needs. 【Fluororesin coating "DK-coat" is suitable for the following conditions】 ■ Frequent scrubbing. Takes time to clean ⇒ Reduces cleaning solution, increases operational rate ■ Products do not slip. Friction scratches on products ⇒ Materials that are less likely to slip can also be transported, reducing friction to prevent scratches ■ Want to heat a chemical solution to high temperatures ⇒ Usable at high temperatures up to 260°C ■ Using strong acids and strong alkalis ⇒ No issues with any chemical solutions *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

Ceramic Coating Althite Top Madeleine Mold

Ceramic coating is a coating that excels in durability and has non-stick properties equivalent to those of Teflon (fluoropolymer).

The "Infinity Series," featuring a highly durable ceramic coating, is processed on the surface, making it easy to care for and user-friendly, with excellent heat resistance and several times the durability compared to other surface treatments. Due to the ceramic coating, durability, non-stick properties, and wear resistance have significantly improved compared to traditional Teflon (fluoropolymer) coatings. Each item is carefully produced one by one after receiving customer orders. The ceramic coating is recommended for food machinery, cooking utensils, molds, and more due to its heat resistance.

Fluororesin coating "Lining Coating" *Pipe interior coating

Fluorine coating is possible on the inside of fine pipes and needles, resins, adhesive injection nozzles, and piping used in medical analytical instruments.

At our company, with "DK-cort ELT," we can apply fluorine coating on the inside of thin pipes, needles, resins, adhesive injection nozzles, and piping used in medical analytical instruments. Regular fluorine resin coatings have tiny holes (pinholes) on the surface. When substances enter through these holes and reach the substrate, it can lead to peeling of the coating or damage to the substrate. We perform lining to extend the distance to reach the substrate. 【Must-see for those in such trouble】 ■ Want to coat the inside of thin pipes or needles used in medical analytical instruments ■ Want to coat the inside of piping that is severely corroded by resins or chemicals *For more details, please download the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Basic Knowledge】What is fluororesin tube lining?

Fluororesin tube lining is a lining technology that involves bonding a fluororesin tube (with an inner diameter of 3mm or more) to the inner surface of a metal pipe through baking.

By lining the inner surface of the metal pipe with a fluororesin tube, it is possible to achieve water repellency, chemical resistance, and prevention of ion leaching. 【Product Features】 ○ Unlike loose linings, it is possible to achieve a lining where the pipe and fluororesin are completely bonded. ○ The adhesion provides excellent thermal conductivity. It is also possible to bend the pipe after lining. ○ The materials of the fluororesin are three types: PFA, FEP, and ETFE. ○ If a thicker film is required, the thickness can be increased with a second lining. *For more details, please download the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
