With industry-leading high power density design, we have implemented 1.7kW × 3ch output in a 1U size. Each channel is isolated, allowing for independent voltage/current control. When building inspection equipment, this contributes to saving cabinet space such as in a 19-inch rack and simplifies cable wiring. For example, let's consider an inspection device that requires a 9-channel programmable DC power supply. Typically, you would need to incorporate nine 1U-sized DC power supplies into a 9U space. However, by adopting the Chroma 62000E series, you can implement the 9-channel programmable DC power supply function by incorporating three DC power supplies into a 3U space (when using the 3-channel model).

With the advancement of high functionality, the vast amount of measurements and ultra-high-speed interfaces due to miniaturization have made complete defect detection with ATE increasingly difficult. As a solution to these issues, we propose system-level testing (SLT: testing in actual usage environments). Why is system-level testing necessary? With the evolution of EV, 5G, AOI, etc., semiconductor ICs are transitioning from standalone to system ICs (SoCs), and higher functionality is being demanded. Along with this increased functionality, the vast number of measurement items and ultra-high-speed interfaces due to miniaturization have made complete defect detection with ATE challenging. Regardless of how the device's resistance and temperature change, the current is maintained constant throughout the testing period. The device voltage is recorded as a quality standard parameter. Auto Power Control Mode (APC) Using feedback signals from an optional external photodiode PCB, the control circuit can automatically adjust the laser diode current to maintain a constant feedback signal strength. This means that the optical output of the laser diode is kept constant throughout the testing period. The device's voltage and current are recorded as reference quality parameters.

The LED driver supplies the energy that serves as the light source for the LED and is designed as a constant current source for the LED. The characteristics of an LED driver differ from those of a typical switching power supply, but the structure is very similar. To evaluate an LED driver, it is possible to perform operational checks using actual LEDs, resistors, and electronic loads with CR/CV modes, but it can be challenging to meet the testing conditions. When evaluating an LED driver with a resistor, the relationship between voltage and current becomes linear, as shown by the blue line, which does not fully utilize the characteristics of the LED. When using a DC electronic load with CR/CV modes, it is desirable for both CR and CV modes to operate stably. However, during LED ON/OFF tests or dimming tests, the protection circuit of the LED driver may cause instability in the operation of the electronic load, posing a risk of not being able to conduct the tests successfully. Using actual LEDs as a load can lead to degradation issues over long-term use and requires significant labor to test various types of LED drivers. Chroma has prepared the 63110A/63113A/63115A, based on the 6310A series, to solve the testing issues for LED drivers.
