Eppendorf's new product "Piezo Expert" is a micro-manipulation assist device that facilitates microinjection using piezoelectric bonding elements. The micro-vibrations of the piezo are transmitted to the capillary without loss, enabling effective and rapid piercing of the cell membrane. In ICSI, ES cell, and iPS cell transfers, it minimizes damage to the cells while achieving high rates of development and cell survival.

This is an easy-to-use electric micromanipulator that is optimal for the micromanipulation of suspended cells. It is ideal for the transfer of ES cells and iPS cells, the creation of transgenic animals, and ICSI. The electric design allows for accurate and precise work, with the capillary driven in proportion to the joystick movements, enabling intuitive operation. Features such as position saving and driving range limitation allow manipulation tasks, which previously required skill, to be performed efficiently and easily even by beginners.
