Preventing the progression of red rust! A case where the amount of black rust in rust increased to 48.2% after 10 months of installation.

At that time, the facility had been in operation for 43 years, and there were significant concerns about the corrosion of the cooling water piping. As a countermeasure, we adopted the "NMR Pipe Protector." Effect verification of red rust turning into black rust.

This facility has been in operation for 22 years, and the corrosion within the pipes has progressed significantly, highlighting the need for pipe replacement due to leaks. However, it was impossible to carry out water outage work because it supplies chilled and hot water to four buildings, including commercial facilities within a large-scale complex. As a countermeasure, we installed the pipe rehabilitation device "NMR Pipe Protector." After installation, there have been no occurrences of leaks, and the results of regular mass analysis of the amount of black rust in the pipes have demonstrated that red rust is being prevented and pipe rehabilitation through black rust formation has been proven. The amount of black rust before the installation of the "NMR Pipe Protector" was 2.2%, which increased to 72.9% after 12 months and reached 91.7% after 45 months, proving the anti-corrosion effect within the pipes. Non-scaler introduction case: Cooling tower

A case of preventing the adhesion of calcium scale that adheres to the outer cooling fins of a cooling tower.

The cooling water used in open-type central air conditioning cooling towers has its calcium concentration rise to about 7 to 10 times that of the make-up water (source water) due to evaporation, resulting in the formation of hard calcium carbonate crystals on the surface of the cooling fins outside the cooling tower, which reduces cooling efficiency. Prevention of calcium scale adhesion and cooling efficiency in heat exchangers! A case study that reduced the frequency of line stoppages due to pump disassembly and cleaning once every 1.2 months.

The heat exchanger at the chemical plant was subject to calcium scale buildup, necessitating disassembly, cleaning, and washing every five months. When scale accumulated on the heat exchanger, it reduced cooling efficiency and negatively impacted product quality. After installing a "non-scaler" following the cleaning of the heat exchanger, there was no calcium carbonate buildup on the hot water piping even after five months, resulting in maximum cooling effectiveness of the cooling water and maintaining the lowest defect rate for products. [NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Fukuoka Prefecture Condominium

After 16 years of installation, the effectiveness verification shows a reduction in red rust blockage rate from 50.7% to 41.2%, an improvement of 18.7%! This demonstrates the effectiveness of red rust prevention and pipe lifespan extension.

A follow-up survey was conducted in a condominium in Fukuoka Prefecture, 16 years after the installation of the NMR pipe protector. Before installation, the joints of the water supply pipes in Rooms A and B were inspected with a fiberscope, revealing red rust blockage rates of 50.7% and 78.2%, respectively, indicating significant progression of red rust blockage and the need for early intervention. Consequently, the NMR pipe protector was installed in the water supply piping. Effect of the calcium scale solidification adhesion prevention device "Non-Scaler"

The calcium scale prevention device "Non-Scaler" solves the calcium scaling problem in hot water boilers without using ion exchange resins or strong alkaline agents.

Calcium scale inevitably adheres to the interior of hot water boilers and similar equipment. To reduce the adhesion of calcium scale, traditionally, ion exchange resins have been used to soften the water by removing calcium ions before producing hot water in the boiler. The residual calcium in the water crystallizes as insoluble calcium carbonate within the boiler and adheres to it. Traditionally, strong alkaline agents were added to the boiler to prevent the formation reaction of calcium carbonate. However, strong alkaline hot water is highly corrosive to metals, leading to corrosion and deterioration of the boiler itself, internal piping, and hot water piping, which shortens the lifespan of the boiler and connected piping systems to around 10 years. The calcium scale prevention device "Non-Scaler" reacts the calcium in the water with free carbon dioxide within the Non-Scaler, forcibly transforming it into fine particles of calcium carbonate that are dispersed and flow in the water.
