However, it seems that even with the agitator, there was residual powder remaining on the walls. This time, by utilizing the Broaddisk, we were able to eliminate the bridging, reduce costs, and also resolve the wall residue issue. If aeration to the hopper is possible, this is a cost-effective and low-effort solution. A blockage occurred in the vertical pipe (250φ×300L) between the powder feeder for raw material measurement and the raw material hopper, so we installed a Bro-Disk Mini to resolve the issue. In this case, the user had originally installed an air knocker on the upper raw material hopper due to the inherently poor flowability of the powder. However, after changing the source of the raw material recently, blockages began to occur in the vertical pipe below the hopper, leading them to install an air knocker there as well, but it had little effect. Subsequently, they became interested in the Bro-Disk, and after testing it, they achieved a 100% resolution. We introduce an example of a Brody disk that solved the clogging of dewatered cake in a vertical chute connecting a decanter-type continuous centrifuge and a subsequent dryer. The Brody disk is primarily used to address blockages and bridge rat hole phenomena in powdery materials (dry), but there are cases where it has completely resolved user issues by being used with wet powder (cake) as in this instance. The elastic disk of the Brodisk is made of a special silicone rubber (for standard specifications) that excels in durability and strength. However, if you are using solvents, you can confirm the resistance in advance. For customers considering the installation of the "Brodisk Mini," after conducting immersion tests with the elastic disk pieces to check the resistance to the solvents used, you can confidently install the Brodisk. We received an inquiry from a user who wanted to address iron powder bridging issues, and we would like to introduce a case where we implemented BroaDisk and BroaDisk Mini. We arranged three BroaDisks along the circumference 200mm above the hopper wall from the discharge section, and three BroaDisk Minis along the circumference 75mm above the hopper wall from the discharge section, each in a staggered configuration.
