[Case Study] Reducing license costs and improving operational efficiency compared to traditional CAD software.

As the number of CAD users increases, the burden of licensing costs and the expenses associated with 3D CAD in the efforts to transition to 3D, as well as the need for business efficiency.

We have introduced BricsCAD Pro to Takamiya Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the manufacturing, sales, and rental of temporary scaffolding. Originally, we used a major 2D CAD software in Japan, but in recent years, as the volume of design work increased, our staff also grew. A few years ago, the licensing model for the same software switched to an annual contract, resulting in significant costs each year, which became a challenge. The technical department verified compatibility and usability with the free trial version and determined that there were no issues. Considering the utilization of 3D functions, we decided to implement the 2D-3D design .dwg compatible 'BricsCAD Pro'. In addition to reducing the burden of licensing costs compared to conventional CAD software, we achieved operational efficiency by utilizing customization features. [Challenges Before Implementation] ■ Licensing costs became a challenge as the number of CAD users increased. ■ The cost burden of 3D CAD was also a hurdle in our efforts to transition to 3D. ■ We wanted to reduce the workload of our in-house engineers. *For more details, please refer to the related catalog "BricsCAD Implementation Case Studies."

Hyper CLT flooring panel

Noise-sensitive wooden flooring | Civil Engineering CLT "Hyper CLT Flooring"

  • NEW
  • PRODUCT

In civil engineering sites, plywood is used for temporary roads, access roads, heavy machinery work yards, and material storage areas. Steel plates are common materials, but they tend to produce metallic sounds during vehicle passage and installation/removal, which can be a noise issue in construction near residential areas, schools, and hospitals. Hyper CLT plywood is a civil engineering CLT material that utilizes wood CLT. As wooden plywood, it can be used for mud prevention, ground protection, and ensuring work pathways, and its natural and soft texture helps create a different site environment compared to metal plates. The 5×10 plate weighs about 230 kg, and the 5×20 plate weighs about 460 kg, making them lightweight and easy to handle even with small machinery, which reduces the burden of transportation, installation, and removal. Additionally, it is easy to use for proposals that consider glare reduction and environmental considerations, making it recommended for innovative public works. As a registered technology with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism under NETIS "TH-250021-A," we can propose it to companies considering noise measures, wood, plywood, timber, civil engineering, and civil engineering CLT. It is also suitable for construction that emphasizes consideration for the surrounding area and for sites considering alternatives to steel plates. We also accept requests for materials and consultations on implementation. Please consider wooden plywood as an option for temporary plans that take into account urban construction and neighboring measures.

Metal Crack Repair: MS Method for Repairing Cracks and Fractures in Machinery Equipment

  • NEW
  • PRODUCT

Metal cracks are one of the concerns in equipment maintenance operations. Conventional welding methods for repairs can change the base material around the crack due to heat, leading to residual stress and deformation, which always carries the risk of "crack recurrence" and "secondary damage." Hinode Waterworks Equipment Co., Ltd.'s "Mechanical Stitching Method" is a new technique that allows for metal crack repairs without applying heat. By using special bolts and reinforcement plates, the crack is physically removed without affecting the base material at all. Repairs can be made even in environments where open flames cannot be used. Since no heat is applied, the disassembly of equipment is minimized. For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Under the floor and in the attic... the "invisible spaces" are being re-evaluated now.

In an era of material shortages and rising material costs, what should we prioritize and protect?

  • NEW
  • PRODUCT

Under the floor and in the attic... "Invisible spaces" are being reconsidered now The environment surrounding the housing industry has changed significantly in recent years. Rising lumber prices, increases in equipment costs, a shortage of skilled workers, and prolonged delivery times are all contributing factors. These changes are not temporary; they are becoming established as structural changes within the entire housing industry. Furthermore, in recent years, the global surge in resource prices, the depreciation of the yen, and rising logistics costs have compounded the situation, leading to an overall instability in housing-related materials. The environment where it was once taken for granted that "necessary materials would be readily available when needed" is no longer a certainty. Additionally, the construction and equipment industries continue to face a serious labor shortage. In particular, the aging of veteran craftsmen who support the field is progressing year by year, while securing young talent is not easy. As a result, situations such as difficulty in scheduling construction dates, longer waiting periods before construction, and limited availability of contractors in certain regions are increasingly common nationwide. In the housing industry, there is now a growing sentiment that "construction plans cannot be made with the same sense as before," whether for new builds or renovations.
