3D Printer for Casting Molds and Cores 'SCM Series'

Casting × 3D Printer "Mold" and "Core" 'SCM Series' capable of supporting everything from prototype development to mass production! Supported by equipment, materials, and software.

The "SCM Series" is a 3D printer for casting that produces "casting molds" and "cores" using sand molds. It utilizes a 3D printer for casting that employs an inkjet method with "dry artificial sand." By discharging resin into dry artificial sand (produced by GunEi Chemical Industry) and curing it, it enables the high-precision production of complex-shaped cores and molds. - The production time for casting prototypes can be significantly reduced. Since model production is unnecessary, the time required for prototype production, which previously took about a month, can be greatly shortened. - It is possible to reduce model production costs. Direct sand mold production from 3D (CAD/scanner) data eliminates the need for model production and storage space for wooden molds. If shape changes are necessary, production can be done immediately after data modification. - The simultaneous production of various similar items with different shapes and dimensions reduces lead time in the prototyping stage. It is possible to simultaneously produce items with different shapes that require verification of shapes and dimensions, such as aggressive method models. 【Features】 ■ Total support for equipment, materials, and software ■ Sales track record to casting manufacturers and casting prototype manufacturers ■ Development achievements for high-value-added products from aluminum to stainless steel ■ Reduction of troublesome sand removal work due to dry materials ■ Reuse of uncured sand (recovered sand) is possible ■ Material development tailored to user needs

Large Sand Mold Layered Forming Device 'SCM-1800'

Approximately 18 seconds of molding speed per layer! Not only aluminum, but also high-melting metals such as cast steel and cast iron can be poured!

The "SCM-1800" is a large sand mold additive manufacturing device suitable for the production of main molds and cores, boasting a build speed of approximately 18 seconds per layer, from prototyping to mass production. This product achieves high dimensional accuracy and can create molds as thin as approximately 2mm, allowing for pouring not only aluminum but also high-melting metals such as cast steel and cast iron. Additionally, the data interface adopts STL, enabling 24-hour automation without the need for manual labor or skilled techniques during the manufacturing process. 【Features】 ■ Build speed of approximately 18 seconds per layer ■ Large size capable of producing both single prototypes and mass production items (Build space: 1800×1000×750mm) ■ Utilizes dry artificial sand (CCS) and recycles uncured sand repeatedly ■ No need for post-processing such as heat treatment at room temperature; molds can be used immediately after sand removal ■ No need for wooden or resin mold production → No skilled techniques required for sand mold manufacturing *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Seminar] The Path to Securing Supply and Competition for Critical Minerals

  • NEW
  • SEMINAR_EVENT

[Speaker] Tomio Shida, Special Analyst, Japan Metal Economic Research Institute, General Incorporated Association [Key Lecture Content] The importance of metals is increasing, from rare metals such as rare earth elements to copper. While the demand is expanding due to the construction boom of data centers supporting the spread of AI (artificial intelligence), renewable energy, and the proliferation of EVs, supply concerns are rising due to resource nationalism and environmental issues. Geopolitical risks, including the turmoil in the Middle East, and global divisions are making stable procurement difficult. China, which has increased its presence in the field of metal refining, is shaking up the supply chains of Japan, the U.S., and Europe not only with export regulations but also with low-price exports. The U.S. added ten types of metals, including copper, to its revised critical minerals list last year. How should Japanese companies respond? [Lecture Topics] 1. "Critical Minerals" Changing with the Times 2. Future Technologies, including AI and EVs, Depend on Metals 3. Increasing Challenges and Costs in Mining Development 4. How Do Changes in International Situations, Such as Tensions in the Middle East, Affect Us? 5. China's Disruptions Go Beyond Export Regulations - Challenges in Building Supply Chains 6. Are Japanese Companies Prepared to Accept "Increased Costs"? 7. Q&A / Business Card Exchange

[Seminar] Digital Infrastructure Strategy to Prepare for Soaring Electricity Costs

  • NEW
  • SEMINAR_EVENT

[Speaker] Masaharu Takano, President and CEO of Bit Media Inc. President and CEO of MESH-X Inc. [Key Lecture Content] With the spread of generative AI, the power demand for data centers (DC) has surged, and the integration of power (watts) and communication (bits) known as "Watt-Bit Collaboration" is emerging as a national strategy. In this lecture, we will outline the latest trends in domestic policy and explain key technologies such as "workload shift," which maximizes the use of available capacity in the power grid, "virtual hyperscaler," which virtually consolidates distributed locations, new trends in next-generation waste heat technology for DCs, and next-generation communication infrastructure like IOWN/APN. Additionally, we will incorporate international examples, such as the AI data center power flexibility demonstration in Phoenix, USA, to illustrate how companies should prepare for the sharp rise in electricity costs in the AI era and indicate the direction for implementing digital infrastructure.
