◆Yoshida SKT Co., Ltd.◆ NEW "What is corrosion protection? An explanation of methods to enhance corrosion resistance" has been released.

Is it enough to prevent just one element of corrosion for corrosion protection?

Corrosion prevention refers to methods used to prevent corrosion. Metal corrosion is a state in which the appearance and function of an object are compromised due to chemical and biological actions. Iron is generally cited as a metal material that is prone to corrosion. These metals can undergo rust and corrosion as a result of factors that cause corrosion, such as oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, and water vapor present in the atmosphere, combined with the inherent properties of the metal, impurities, and electrochemical reactions. ■ The three main elements of corrosion: - The flow of electricity - The presence of water - The presence of oxides To enhance corrosion resistance, it is important to prevent one of these three elements. ■ Corrosion prevention using Teflon fluoropolymer Teflon fluoropolymer is widely used as a corrosion-resistant material due to its exceptional chemical resistance among resins. This is not only because of its excellent chemical resistance but also due to its insulating properties, water repellency, and weather resistance. Additionally, advancements in processing technology have made it possible to select materials and shapes suited to specific applications. *For details on coatings and linings that enhance corrosion resistance, please download the materials for confirmation.
