■Problems with Conventional Foaming Agents In traditional plastic foaming, foaming agents such as fluorocarbon gases, alternative fluorocarbons, hydrocarbon gases, and chemical foaming agents have been used to generate bubbles during molding. The use of these agents has led to issues such as ozone layer depletion, greenhouse effects, explosiveness, flammability, residue, and difficulties in recycling, prompting increasing regulations in various countries and regions. Currently, there is a movement to replace them with environmentally friendly, safe, and inexpensive inert gases. ■Challenges of Inert Gas Foaming Inert gas foaming faces challenges such as low solubility in resins and difficulty in bubble control, which restrict the materials that can be foamed and make stability difficult. To address these issues, since its establishment in 2007, Plasteco has been engaged in the research and development of environmentally friendly foaming technologies. Plasteco's "technology and equipment specifically for inert gas foaming" precisely controls inert gases like CO2 and N2, enabling ultra-fine, high-magnification, high-performance foaming and molding, providing various benefits for the future of people and the planet.
