Plasteco Co., Ltd. will exhibit in the "Exhibition and Display Zone" of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion at the 2025 World Expo in Japan! This "Exhibition and Display Zone" will feature 26 exhibition projects that will change weekly, showcasing various themes from small and medium-sized enterprises and startups in Osaka! Plant-based, biodegradable foam bead block board [low environmental impact]

This is a block board made of biodegradable foam beads that are non-petroleum-based, carbon-neutral, and have low environmental impact. Ideal for packaging materials, cushioning, and various three-dimensional shapes!

Beads made from plant-derived, biodegradable resin PLA (polylactic acid) are foamed using a unique extrusion foaming technology developed by Plasteco, which utilizes low environmental impact inert gases (CO2, N2) and are then steam-formed into block and board shapes. They can be processed into your desired shape through cutting and other methods! They can be used as an alternative to traditional expanded polystyrene for packaging materials and cushioning, as well as for three-dimensional objects and display items. High expansion foaming with a safe and inexpensive foaming agent (inert gas) also allows for a reduction in raw materials! Foamed PLA (polylactic acid) is a material with lower environmental impact than conventional materials such as foamed polystyrene and other foamed plastics, as it is plant-based and biodegradable. Additionally, thanks to Plasteco's unique supercritical inert gas foaming technology, there are no residues like those from chemical foaming agents, and it is foamed and molded using methods that have a low global warming potential, making it an environmentally friendly product from raw materials to molding processes. The fine bubbles of PLA (bubble diameter 10-30μm) and the independent bubbles provide excellent thermal insulation, moisture resistance, and antibacterial properties, while also preventing the occurrence of dust mites and other pests from the tatami base. It also has soundproofing properties, creating a comfortable living environment.

Additionally, traditional pump methods using pressure control have seen supply volume fluctuate due to pressure changes at the gas injection point of the molding machine. Plasteco's supercritical inert gas quantitative supply device maintains a constant supply mass and automatically adjusts the supply pressure to follow the pressure at the supply point, enabling precise control of the supply volume at all times and achieving uniform and fine foaming. Furthermore, by precisely controlling the gas addition amount through data linkage (optional) with extrusion and injection molding machines, stabilization of foaming ratios and reduction in the weight of molded products become possible. It can accommodate a wide range of applications, from small flow rates for small molding machines to large flow rates for large molding machines, as well as RIM molding and other uses.
