The year 2024 began with the Noto Peninsula earthquake on January 1st, and it became a year marked by numerous memorable disasters, including heavy rains and heatstroke incidents due to record-breaking heat, particularly in Kyushu and the Tohoku region. First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to all those affected, as well as to their families and related parties. In summer construction sites, the surface temperature of the ground plates and the heat reflection can affect the working environment. In particular, steel plates tend to retain heat when exposed to sunlight, making it a challenge to implement heatstroke prevention measures and improve the site environment for workers.
