The SPACECOOL tent and large sunshade have started being used at the Osaka Kansai Expo venue, providing visitors and staff with the "coolness of shade."

The tent and large sunshade utilizing the radiation cooling material "SPACECOOL," operated and sponsored by SPACECOOL Inc., have begun to be used at the Osaka Kansai Expo (hereafter referred to as the Expo) venue to help prevent heatstroke for visitors and staff.
The SPACECOOL tents are installed near the East Gate close to the Osaka Metro Chuo Line's Yumeshima Station and near the West Gate facilities' West Lost and Baby Center, with identifying stickers placed on the tents. Additionally, SPACECOOL large sunshades are being used by staff throughout the venue. SPACECOOL is a new material with world-class radiation cooling performance that not only blocks heat from sunlight and reduces heat absorption but also allows heat to escape into space as infrared radiation in the wavelength range of the "atmospheric window," enabling a temperature drop below the outside temperature with zero energy.
With continued extreme heat this summer and an increased risk of heatstroke, the Expo is implementing measures against the heat, such as the establishment of cool spots and rest areas. Our company contributes to the comfortable and safe operation of the venue through the sponsorship of tents and sunshades using SPACECOOL.
