The Emirates Palace Mandarin Hotel is a landmark in the UAE, featuring a massive 1.3-kilometer private beach and sprawling gardens covering 100 hectares, making it one of the world's premier luxury resorts. It also houses a top-class tennis academy, serving as a training base for professional athletes. SPACECOOL achieves zero-energy cooling by reflecting sunlight and releasing heat into space, allowing for efficient temperature reduction inside the tent without the use of air conditioning, even under direct sunlight. It provides a comfortable and safe thermal environment for sports players and operational staff. SPACECOOL Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the waterproof sheet "Innovation Proof RR," which integrates the radiative cooling material "SPACECOOL" manufactured and sold by Ronsil Industrial Co., Ltd., has received the Excellence Award at the "Excellent Products and Technology Awards 2025" organized by the Japan Building Materials Association (JBMA). The Excellent Products and Technology Awards 2025 aims to promote outstanding building materials and housing equipment products and technologies to society, improve quality and construction techniques, and contribute to the further development and enhancement of the entire construction industry. It is the only award system in Japan recognized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism concerning building materials and housing equipment. Ronsil Industrial has launched a new waterproof sheet, "Innovation Proof RR," which integrates the radiative cooling material "SPACECOOL" developed and sold by our company. This product can suppress temperature rise within buildings, reduce air conditioning energy consumption and CO2 emissions, and improve the working environment. SPACECOOL Inc., which develops and sells the radiative cooling material "SPACECOOL," announces that SPACECOOL has been implemented in the communication facilities of QTnet, Inc., which operates telecommunications services in the Kyushu region, resulting in a power usage reduction effect of approximately 10%. QTnet has faced challenges such as alerts triggered by temperature increases inside the communication facilities during the summer and rising air conditioning power consumption. Previously, measures were taken using heat-reflective paint, but SPACECOOL was experimentally introduced on the roofs and all sides of some communication facilities. As a result, it was confirmed that the internal temperature of the communication facilities could be reduced by up to 5.3°C, leading to its implementation in 16 communication facilities. Effect of power usage reduction Since the introduction of SPACECOOL on September 15, 2023, the effects of power usage reduction have become evident, particularly during the months of April to August when temperatures rise, with a maximum reduction rate of 10.3% confirmed in July, especially on days with high solar radiation.
