Water supply and sewage systems are essential infrastructure for our daily lives. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is promoting initiatives such as earthquake resistance and aging infrastructure measures to build a resilient and sustainable water supply and sewage system.
Additionally, it is important to strengthen the management foundation through maintaining and improving operations in light of population decline and utilizing digital technologies. Furthermore, societal demands for water supply and sewage systems are changing significantly with the times, and we are advancing initiatives for energy creation and energy conservation to achieve a decarbonized society, as well as efforts to utilize sludge resources as fertilizers from the perspective of food security.
This time, I will introduce recent trends in water supply and sewage administration.
