[Seminar] Trends in the Development of Perovskite Expanding Options

[Speaker]
Yuichiro Omi, Senior Researcher, Renewable Energy Foundation
[Key Lecture Content]
In the 7th Basic Energy Plan, the government set a target to introduce 20 GW of perovskite solar cells by 2040. In response, domestic manufacturers have begun demonstration experiments across the country. These include installations on building roofs and walls, as well as on transportation infrastructure and power plants, and integrated with residential building materials. There are also movements to advance new construction methods and technology development aimed at improving durability and overcoming cost issues associated with perovskite. This lecture will overview the latest trends in perovskite demonstration experiments in Japan and organize the challenges necessary for early social implementation.
[Lecture Items]
1. Demonstration experiments start at factories, stations, wind turbines, and windows
2. Development of new construction methods and barrier films to overcome cost and durability challenges
3. Early realization of social implementation through legal development and expansion of production support
4. Q&A / Business card exchange
