Researchers of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) spend a tremendous amount of time on screening, optimization, and scaling up experiments to achieve optimal performance, spot-on targeting, and controlled release of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Factors such as solubility, pH stability, payload release, and encapsulation all depend on particle size, shape, and structure.
