【Measurement Target Examples】 Ion channels (voltage-dependent, ligand-dependent, temperature-sensitive), DNA nanopores, antimicrobial peptides, toxins, etc. In experiments using artificial lipid bilayers, the formation of lipid membranes, reconstitution of membrane proteins, and measurement of single-channel currents can be easily performed. 【Measurement Target Examples】 Ion channels (voltage-dependent, ligand-dependent, temperature-sensitive), DNA nanopores, antimicrobial peptides, toxins, etc. Experiments using artificial lipid bilayers allow for easy formation of lipid membranes, reconstitution of membrane proteins, and measurement of single-channel currents. It is possible to reconstitute purified target membrane proteins (such as ion channels found in vivo or artificial ion channels) on artificially formed lipid bilayers for drug action evaluation and functional/structural analysis.
