[Key Lecture Content]
Since the Paris Agreement, the global trend towards decarbonization has entered a clear "adjustment phase" as we approach 2025. In Europe, there is a shift in policies regarding EV initiatives and industrial protection, while in the United States, the return to fossil fuels under the Trump administration and the clear stance against China have become evident. Meanwhile, China is strengthening its unique approach of pursuing both decarbonization and industrial hegemony in energy and manufacturing.
Additionally, in Japan, against the backdrop of the full-scale implementation of GX-ETS and the new government's policy direction, the positioning of decarbonization is transforming from "ideology-driven" to a "strategy integrated with industry and security."
This lecture will systematically compare and analyze the policy trends in Europe, the United States, China, and Japan, exploring how the international order of decarbonization is being restructured and what may happen in the future from multiple perspectives.
