Processing and Procurement of Difficult-to-Cut Materials: Risk management system at overseas sites and efforts towards advanced component processing based on the Osaka Prefecture approved 'Management Innovation Plan'
Sakai Metal Works Co., Ltd. addresses challenges related to difficult-to-cut materials and special processing that are deemed impossible to handle domestically by strengthening its system based on operational risk management of overseas partner factories and public approvals.
■ Examples of possible processing
- Materials with ignition risk: Machining of magnesium alloys
- High-load difficult-to-cut materials: Processing of titanium alloys and cemented carbide
- Difficult-to-cut resins: Micro-drilling of PEEK materials
■ Reasons for making the "impossible" possible
We mitigate the "risk of ignition and tool damage," which are factors for rejection domestically, through the "operational system" of our partner factories.
1. Constant monitoring, dust prevention, and initial fire extinguishing through 24-hour operations in three shifts
2. Strict on-site audits and quality control based on ISO9001 standards from our headquarters
3. Rapid prototyping and processing response for new materials
■ Strengthening the system based on the Osaka Prefectural Governor's approval of the "Management Innovation Plan"
In June of the 8th year of Reiwa, we obtained approval for the "Management Innovation Plan" from Osaka Prefecture. We are currently building a "one-stop production system" that completes everything from processing to assembly and inspection, enhancing the processing of difficult-to-cut materials through M&A.
Please feel free to contact us regarding drawings that have been rejected by other companies or inquiries about our one-stop production. Detailed local reports can be viewed via the link below.
