【CEATEC AWARD 2026 Next Generation Award Winner】
The spatial AI "TRAILS," which measures the location of people and assets indoors, underground, and in tunnels where GPS is unavailable, has won the Next Generation Award at CEATEC AWARD 2026.
■Features of TRAILS
- No additional equipment required: No beacons or Wi-Fi needed, and processing is completed within the device. Implementation costs are about 1/10 of conventional methods.
- Positioning accuracy of 1-3m: Achieves the smallest error (ATE 2.69m) compared to 16 publicly available inertial odometry methods.
- Operates from day one without prior learning for each building.
- Achieved an error of within 3m even inside a Shinkansen train traveling at 285 km/h during a demonstration with JR Tokai.
- Patent pending.
It can be utilized for flow analysis, safety management, and asset tracking in factories, logistics warehouses, construction sites, and infrastructure facilities.
■CEATEC 2026 Exhibition Announcement
In addition to a demo of TRAILS, we will unveil the prototype of the spatial AI camera "Astra," which can record location information overlaid with video for the first time.
Dates: October 13 (Tuesday) to 16 (Friday), 2026, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
