Non-contact measurement of silencer vibrations | Dynamic displacement measurement using SG5025
SinceVision SinceVision
Understanding the vibration state of the exhaust system silencer and utilizing it for evaluating mechanical performance and durability. We introduce a case study of non-contact vibration measurement using SinceVision's SG5025 laser displacement sensor.
The silencer is a component responsible for reducing noise in the exhaust system. Understanding its behavior under vibration during use leads to the evaluation of the component and considerations for long-term reliability. This case study presents a method for obtaining displacement without contact with the surface, capturing dynamic changes in vibration.
With a maximum sampling rate of 590 kHz, it supports the acquisition of rapidly changing displacement data. It offers options for wide and small spots, allowing for configurations tailored to the measurement location and requirements. It also supports configurations where four sensor heads are connected to a single controller, enabling measurements at multiple points.
We will consider the measurement method based on which position of the silencer and under what vibration conditions you wish to evaluate. Please inform us of the number of measurement points, displacement amount, target surface, and necessary recording conditions, and we can discuss how to utilize this for vibration evaluation.
