Measuring the rotational runout of the air conditioning fan wheel | SGI050 case study
SinceVision SinceVision
Capture the wobble of a rotating fan wheel and confirm conditions that lead to noise, vibration, and component wear. We present a measurement case using the SinceVision SGI050 laser displacement sensor.
The sensor is installed laterally to the base of the fan wheel to acquire displacement during rotation. By feeding back the maximum wobble amount, it is utilized for quality evaluation of the rotational state. This application is not only for confirming dimensions in a stationary state but also for understanding movements that occur during rotation.
It supports sampling rates of up to 88 kHz. In official cases, detection at intervals of 0.01 mm with an accuracy of 7 μm and a speed of 700 mm/s is introduced. Measurement data can be transmitted to the equipment side through multiple communication methods, supporting collaboration with inspection processes.
The integrated structure also makes it easy to consider embedding into devices. Conditions are examined based on the fan's rotational speed, measurement position, allowable wobble values, and installation space. If you are considering rotational inspection of air conditioning fan wheels or numerical management of wobble, please inform us of the actual target work and equipment conditions.
