Online measurement of curvature radius and pitch of waveform water-cooled plates | SG5050
SinceVision SinceVision
Capture the shape of the waveform water-cooling plate and manage the dimensional quality of heat dissipation components. We present a case study of online measurement of the fitting diameter and pitch of the waveform grooves using the SinceVision SG5050 laser displacement sensor.
The target workpiece measures approximately 2370×70×7mm. The measurement requirements are ±0.03mm for both diameter and pitch, with a speed of 160mm/s. Surface contour data is obtained through laser triangulation, and circles are fitted to the groove shape to calculate the diameter and center-to-center distance. Since it is non-contact, measurements can be taken without pressing or rubbing the target surface.
The SG5050 features a maximum sampling rate of 590kHz and a repeatability accuracy of 0.025μm, supporting detailed data acquisition of the waveform surface. In this case study, dynamic measurements over 10 cycles confirmed a repeatability accuracy of 0.014mm for the fitting diameter and 0.011mm for the pitch. The measurement results are values under the conditions of this case study.
This technology can be utilized for shape inspection of thermal management components in new energy vehicles and high-performance equipment. Please consult us regarding measurement methods tailored to curved shapes, transport speeds, and required measurement ranges.
