While equipped with high output equivalent to fluorescent lights, we have achieved a reduction in power consumption from 91W to 40.5W, approximately 55% less compared to our conventional explosion-proof fluorescent fixtures. Additionally, we have reviewed the design of the LED module and housing, achieving a lightweight and compact form. Currently, emergency lighting fixtures specified by the Building Standards Act are limited to "incandescent lamps" and "fluorescent lamps," and the use of LEDs as emergency light sources has not been permitted. Therefore, while there have been LED emergency lighting fixtures that received certification based on the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's certification system and passed the self-assessment of emergency lighting fixtures by the Japan Lighting Manufacturers Association, they could not be used in explosion-proof areas where there is a risk of explosion or fire. In response to the many voices wishing for the use of LED as an emergency light source even in explosion-proof areas, we have developed explosion-proof emergency LED lighting fixtures that have passed type testing from the Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association, received certification from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and display the JIL mark from the Japan Lighting Manufacturers Association, making us the first in the domestic industry to do so. New Release of Explosion-Proof LED Lighting Fixtures (LZLA Series) Seiwa Electric Co., Ltd. has enhanced its lineup of LED lighting fixtures under the <Star Reds> series to meet diverse needs in the introduction of energy-saving equipment in factories and initiatives for the environment (Minamata Convention). We are pleased to announce the addition of the explosion-proof LED lighting fixtures "LZLA Series," which can be used in explosive hazardous areas Zone 1 and Zone 2, equivalent to incandescent lamps (100W, 200W) and high-output FHF32W (circular and compact fluorescent lamps). Orders will begin on May 15. The main body of the fixture utilizes aluminum die-casting, which excels in heat dissipation and lightweight design. By implementing effective heat dissipation measures, the operating temperature range has been increased to -20°C to +50°C (compared to our conventional LED products which are -20°C to +40°C), enhancing resistance to high-temperature environments. Additionally, it achieves a maintenance-free LED module lifespan of 60,000 hours while also possessing high durability and weather resistance.
