Web Exhibition: CO2 Reduction Solutions with LED Lighting

Retrofit Solutions (Proposal for Eco-Friendly LED Lighting)
As global warming progresses, energy-efficient LED lighting is gaining attention. There are mainly two types of LED lighting for conversion: "linear LED lamps" and "LED base lights." The features of linear LED lamps include "reuse of lighting fixtures" and "minimization of waste," making them an environmentally friendly LED lighting option that can reduce CO2 emissions by 80% compared to LED base lights.
Now, let's estimate the CO2 reduction when introducing LED lighting from 100 fluorescent lamps. The waste from "linear LED lamps" amounts to 273 kg of CO2 equivalent, while the waste from "LED base lights," including fixtures and fluorescent lamps, amounts to 1,340 kg of CO2 equivalent. This shows that linear LED lamps can achieve an 80% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to LED base lights, confirming that they are an environmentally friendly LED lighting option.
* The CO2 emission factor is calculated at 0.496 kg-CO2/kWh.
