Targeted degradation of enhancer lysine acetyltransferases CBP and p300: Free Webinar

Chromatin regulators CBP and p300 maintain gene expression programs through lysine acetylation of chromatin and transcription regulators, as well as through scaffolding functions mediated by several protein-protein interaction domains.
Using cell activity assays, including in silico modeling and capillary-based immunodetection assays (ProteinSimple, WES), we developed a chemical degrader for p300/CBP, dCBP-1. We found that dCBP-1 is highly effective at killing multiple myeloma cells and can disable enhancers that promote the expression of the MYC oncogene.
As an efficient degrader of this unique class of chromatin regulators, dCBP-1 will serve as a useful tool for understanding p300/CBP activity at enhancers in both normal and diseased cells.
