Cellufine Phosphate is an affinity chromatography resin that has an affinity for nucleic acid-binding proteins. T7 RNA polymerase can be efficiently purified using Cellufine Phosphate due to its nature as a nucleic acid-binding protein. T7 RNA polymerase is an RNA synthesis enzyme used to produce mRNA from DNA templates. In the manufacturing process of mRNA vaccines, which became famous as a vaccine for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), T7 RNA polymerase is used as the enzyme for mRNA synthesis.
