Jasmine Soft is a company founded by volunteers from the Information Development Department of the Tropical Tech Center, a third-sector organization in Okinawa Prefecture. The staff at the time of establishment had been involved in system development and research for national and prefectural governments and research institutions using Java and XML technologies until the fiscal year 2000. Utilizing the company's incubation program, it became independent as Jasmine Soft Co., Ltd. in April 2001. (In October 2002, the organization changed from a limited liability company to a corporation.)
