This current is referred to as inrush current. - **Flickering** → Frequent flickering can generally shorten the lifespan due to the effects of inrush current. - **Shock and Vibration** → Prolonged lighting of the lamp can cause the crystals in the filament to grow, weakening it and reducing its strength. - **Color Temperature and Efficiency** → Color temperature (K) correlates with lamp efficiency (lm/W), as shown in the graph; higher efficiency (lm/W) results in a higher color temperature. - **Surface Temperature of the Bulb** → The lamp operates by heating the filament to a high temperature, resulting in significant infrared radiation and a high surface temperature of the bulb.
