It is a small direction finder that can determine the arrival direction of radio waves. It is portable in size and operates for about 10 hours on batteries (AC adapter and rechargeable batteries can also be used).
☆Applicable for search use with wireless communication devices (for searching missing persons, wanderers, escaped pets, etc.) ☆Combined with an RDF antenna, it displays the direction of incoming radio waves and signal strength. (When using a rod antenna, only signal strength display is effective, and direction display is disabled.) ☆Can use four AA batteries, external power supply (DC 12V, AC adapter), or rechargeable batteries. <Appearance> A shape that can be searched by hand, also usable in a vehicle. Connection to the direction-finding antenna is made with one 50Ω coaxial cable. Azimuth display response time: standard 50mS/100Hz (minimum specification 15mS/250Hz). When using a whip antenna, only the electric field strength display is valid. <Power Supply> Operates on four AA batteries, external power supply also available (AC adapter or 12V battery). When four NiH rechargeable batteries are installed, it can be used while charging with an AC adapter. Current consumption: approximately 70mA / 5–6.5V (about 10 hours with AA alkaline batteries). <Dynamic Range of Built-in Receiver> Two-stage manual switch between approximately -120dBm to -70dBm and -80dBm to -30dBm. <Display Lock Function> Display corresponding to intermittent transmission signals. Locks the display when receiving a signal of 40mS or more, approximately 1μV or stronger. Locks the display for about one second when the received signal ends. Makes it easy to check the direction and signal strength of short transmission signals.
