Narrow steel strip welding seam detector
Roland NS9N-AAD-SC
We will detect weld seams of narrow steel strips (both magnetic and non-magnetic). The width of the steel strip is 5-30mm, thickness is 0.2-4mm, and the transport speed is up to 5m/s.
When supplying steel strips to a stamping press, the final end of the reel unwinding and the unwinding part of the new reel are welded together for continuous transport, but detection of the weld joint must always be performed prior to the press process. In the case of a stamping press, the most important point for automating detection is that it must be conducted while the transport repeatedly moves and stops in a short time. The Roland NS9N is the first product developed specifically as a detector for narrow steel strips.

basic information
The detection method of the Roland NS9N uses leakage magnetic flux and eddy current sensors, allowing detection regardless of whether the material is magnetic or non-magnetic. Until now, various methods such as induction and optical sensors have been used for seam detection, but it has not been easy to address unexpected issues such as gaps between the sensor and the metal surface or discoloration of the surface. The Roland NS9N can analyze not only geometric changes but also electrical and magnetic conductivity changes, thereby enhancing the reliability of the processing process. Additionally, the analog output can be directly connected to a PLC, facilitating smooth process control.

Detailed information
-
Welding seam detector Roland manufactures the SND40 welding seam detector for sheet metal, tubes, wires, and cans, in addition to its use for narrow steel strips. It can detect both magnetic and non-magnetic materials using leakage flux and eddy current sensors. It supports PC connections for on-site installation, as well as PLC connections and various field buses.

Company information
Since its establishment in 1966, we have supplied numerous products to domestic customers in the petrochemical, tire, automotive, machine tool, medical device, pump, analytical equipment, testing machine sectors, as well as aerospace-related clients in both the public and private sectors. Many of the products we handle are made in the United States, but we aim to provide products with superior performance and features compared to domestic manufacturers, and in recent years, we have also been working to offer excellent European products. Although we are an import trading company, we fundamentally practice domestic operations for the inspection and repair of products from various manufacturers, along with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certification. !! We have also launched a Facebook page. Please check it out!! https://www.facebook.com/JapanControls/
